For a varied life you can’t beat “Lunch Box”. One who knows how versatile you have to be is hostess Noele Gordon, an enthusiast who has appeared with marked success in many evening feature programmes.
One of the international stars who made a hit with her in “Lunch Box” is Liberace.
In ATV’s fifth anniversary show she got involved in slapstick comedy with guest comedians Jewel and Warriss.
When “Lunch Box” was relayed as an outside broadcast from the circus Noele was aloft – on the elephant – and it was Western style when the show went to Leicester.
Midland viewers followed Noele’s progress when she qualified as a pilot after a training course at Birmingham Airport. This series showed the instruction from basic tuition to the time when she went solo for the first time.
Birmingham’s favourite comedienne, Beryl Reid – the Midlands “Marlene” – made a brilliant return to her home town when she appeared in Midlands ATV fifth anniversary show. “Beatnik” Beryl is seen in the studio.
